sPringPong 2011 Singles Championship has ended in 3 with John Haras defeating James Krueger 2 games to 1.
In a fitting finals matchup the undefeated John Haras met Jim Krueger, who's only match defeat came via John earlier in the tournament. John won the "pong" to start the service and also won the first game. In a completely uncharacteristic move, Jim stepped outside his comfort zone and left the defensive-based, lay-back approach which carried him to the finals for a surprisingly aggressive attack format. Though he won the second game, it seemed Jim realized he had to try something new to beat the as yet undefeated Haras. "I went on the offensive but it wasn't enough", Jim shrugged after the match. John, hoping to go completely undefeated, was not quite able to, "Jim definitely has some game to hand me my first defeat…and thanks for the charity".
